Out of curiosity, I am trying to decide on a radiator or base board heater. My husband built me a chick nursery. He took part of the barn made a small room and insulated it, so that I would have a safe and temperature control room for them. But I can not decide on which heating element to use. What do you think?

I think you would have to have the heat cranking to keep it around the recommended 90 degree temp, I would stick with a very well secured heat lamp so they can come and go as they please.

There are mounts on the wall for the heat lamps that are over each brooder box.

Basically, the room is set up like a nursery. Instead of cribs, I have brooder boxes. Instead of mobiles, there are heat lamps.

The heater would be to maintain the temp in the room at like 72 degrees.

Oil filled radiator would be safest, what with the dust and all you don't want exposed heating elements.
