I had chickens out there for 15 years with no issues but now, well I'm 73 and overprotective of these little lives. Anyway, thank you for listening to my story.. lol I may put a little radio out there somewhere as well
Raccoons are very persistant. They'll get used to anything you do, especially if there's the lure of tasty chicken.
I will just keep switching things up moving things around and locking up tightly.
When I had my chickens b4 I was the only one around with chickens and I don't think the city coons knew what they were. Now, right here smack in the city there's at least 5 other chicken yards right close so don't know if that will change these dynamics. That would be a good idea. People with owl statues and items like that usually move them around as if they are actually alive.thank you GlicksI will just keep switching things up moving things around and locking up tightly.

My dogs do a phenomenal job of alerting me to predators and my coop is secure but we have bears. They'll destroy a coop if you don't have dogs that alert youThat could disturb the chickens and deprive your hens of some sleep. Maybe could you put that outside of the coop and a distance from the coop?
We have the same issue and use solar motion lights. Those in addition to our two dogs keeps everything away.
