Radio in the coop?

I have heard some say it keeps away predators, while others say having a radio always on with a low volume (not too loud, like a gentle ASMR) will make chickens less noisy? Is that true?

I see no reason it would keep birds quieter. It might make predators scarce at first, but they'll get used to it sooner or later

I've used a radio by the coop. Classical, low volume. I think the birds liked it.

I agree the predators get used to the radio especially raccoons they'll turn the volume dial up on you with those little fingers so you can't hear your chickens screaming if you can hardware cloth the whole place and use good locks we have 33 mini raptors never lost one to predators day or night

I'm glad I wasn't drinking hot coffee when I read this I can picture this happening, with an evil grin on the raccoons face!!

No idea about chickens but Classic FM (UK) does a dog friendly relaxing evening on bonfire night.

No joke when my hens were little babies I searched youtube for mama hen sounds wondering if they would like to hear that, but what I ended up finding was Relaxing Music for Chickens that was just Skyrim ost ambience lmao. I played it for a bit but I have no idea if they actually liked it ahaha.
