Rain and chickens

First time my chickens got 'soaked' I was concerned as it was chilly.
They looked like 'drowned rats' on the roost, but when I stuck my hand under the feathers they were dry and warm next to the skin. Quit worrying after that.
Young chicks and silkies may be a different story.
I let mine decide, some seem to love it, others stay under cover....same goes for snow.
Thanks

Mine free range so they often get rained on.
They seem to love a little rain, may be due to worms and bugs coming out of the ground. If it storms they find shelter under trees or run into the coop.
Good to know. I was worried tell I have read all your posts. Thanks
