Rain to blame for gurgling rooster?

It's been raining for like a week and it's going to continue till like Monday. The water is like 1.5 deep in the outside run. Well it was kinda funny to see them splashing aroundin it but then I got to wondering if it would hurt them. Then this morning my rooster was crowing with this gurgling sound in his throat. What is happening????
