Rain

Well it decided to rain here in west tx....not just a lil bit but alot. Like 3 inches of standing water in the coop/run. Had to relocate the babys back inside to dry off and warm up....big girls are in the dogs old run and the ducks are happy as hell. My eldest pekin (bout 3 months) even took to the babys like they were hers....their about a month or so old.

Typical Texas. When it rains, it's a flood. When it snows, it's a blizzard. The rest of the time it's just darn hot and humid.

We had a 1/2 inch rain yesterday evening! The first rain in a month!

Cooled things off from 101 to 96! I never would have thought I would be saying 96 is cool but it is a dang sight cooler than 101.

Last month we got 26 inches in 12 days. You talk about a swamp. I had to move some of my biddies back inside for a couple of days but now everyone is back to normal. I invested in a pair of waders due to the rain.

It's trying to rain here - I was excited to wake this morning to overcast skys!!!

no rain here in southern IL for about a week or so now...probably have a big storm headed our way pretty soon then...
