I want to be able to move my girls out to the coop next week but the forecast is calling for windy rainy weather. The temperatures will be fine but I am concerned about the wet and wind. The run has a roof and has a wind break.

How old are the birds in question?
From the sounds of it, your setup should be just fine. I actually keep my chicks outside(in coop brooder space) from day one, yes providing supplemental heat, and they venture outdoors in the run within the first two weeks. By the time they're 4 to 5 weeks old they have self-weaned off the supplemental heat and fully integrated with the flock including free ranging in the yard around the run and coop.. I do this year round in all weather, granted in the winter they may self-wean a little more slowly and in the summer they may give up the heat at 3 weeks
