I constructed a homemade styrofoam incubator & having problems hitting thee target temp and humidity. I have 40 watt light bulb with foil blocking the direct light. I have small saucer with warm water in it. I have 7 pencil sizeholes on each side of incubator...any help?

Now I can lower my temp, just can't raise my humidity. My sponge is in saucer with warm water on other side of ice chest away from light bulb with foil blocking direct light.

Stand the sponge up?

If you can imagine the small, cheap styrafoam ice chest you can get at a gas station that is what im working with. So the base of the ice chest isnt real big. And i was hoping to fit 6-8 eggs @ a given hatch. But i may have to do what i got to do to actually mae it work. Where should me ven holes be located?

Bottom and top to get warm air to escape and fresh coming in the bottom. Put holes in the lid and if you can set the chest up on something like a couple one by one boards to get air space below you can put the holes on the very bottom. Otherwise at the bottom along the side.
Either that or along one side at the bottom and along the opposite side at the top to get some flow across.
