Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm going to have to plan really carefully if I want sand in the coop I guess. For those of you that just use it in the run and use shavings in the coop, do you find that a lot of the shavings get knocked into the run??
If I put sand in the coop, I know I'm going to have to take it all out to move, but I don't plan on moving until I can find a house. At that point, the coop will be cleared of chickens and sand, detached from the run, and moved, then replaced with sand and chickens. So, a pain in the butt, but not something I'll be doing very often.
The pics are outstanding, I'm loving looking at all the different coops, on this thread and in the coops section. There's so many creative people on this site!!
