Then too, the other types may weigh the same at the higher ages but most certainly will not look like any game hen one can get from your own home raised Cornish X, much less like from any grocery store.
 
Your right..... and probably wouldn't taste the same. With the Cornish X's being so young, they definitely are the best candidate as they soak up any kind of marinade, smoke, or brine. Personally I love them slow cooked over a rotisserie with hickory, cherry, or apple wood. Oh man...
