Raiseing Quail in New Mexico around 7000FT

I have property in NM around Mayhill and am wanting to raise Quail and Chuckar for meat purposes. Can this be done sucessfully with proper care and the right breeds. I have submited for the permits to raise and keep the game birds with the state. Will Chuckar and Scaled quail be a good choice to start with or Bob Whites. Looking for Ideas ?

I think that if you give them a GOOD wind break and places to get out of the wind, chukar, Valley quail, Gambels, Scaled should all do well. I'm at 5700 feet and raised all these. I have hunted and found chukar as high as 8500-8000 feet.

I raise and sell all the above I used to live in Pinion no problem there.
