Going to be ordering my first chicks soon, but I need some help! All I can find is keep the chicks at 95 degrees to start with a heat lamp. It's been over 100 degrees here though!!! How do I keep them cool? Any suggestions?

It isn't over 100 degrees every hour out of 24, is it? You need the heat lamp to keep the chicks from getting chilled during the night time, when (hopefully!) your temperature dips lower.

During the warmer part of the day, of course you won't need the heat lamp. Make sure the chicks have shade and plenty of water. If they seem heat stressed, panting and holding their wings out from their bodies, you could set up a fan to cool them, but be careful to make sure they have a way to escape the breeze if they want to.
