Raising a 100 lb turkey.

I'm sorry to say, I don't think that can be done. Turkeys that weigh too much usually suffer from leg problems and die early. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Best of luck!

For healthy, strong legs don't over-feed them. Feed during the day and take food away during the night. Keep the food high in protein and feed plenty of it. Turkey grower or grower/finisher will help raise him like that.

However, I think the largest turkey ever was 86 lbs, so I'm not sure they can reach 100 lbs.

There was one person posted on here that rescued a giant turkey and she slimmed him down to 82 lbs. I think it is possible but you never know. I will post pics if I do get him that big.

Why would you want to raise one that big? You would have to have a specialty oven or roaster to cook it.

I have heard that very large turkey's can have a heart attack in a thunder storm.
So any form of excitement must be removed.

I thought about having someone professionally cook it so it would not dry out since a bird that big would dry out quick and would have trouble cooking all the way through.
