Hiya!
So I was just given a baby peacock who is 2 days old. I currently have chickens, an indoor rabbit, gecko, a dog - and the farm that I live on has turkeys, goats and of course peacocks (the mama lives here). So - every year the baby peacoks have a hard time making it (predators, es) - so the owner of the peacocks gave me one (he is giving me a second one later today). Long story short )or short story long) he knocked on my door this morning and just handed me this lil baby. I am not prepared! I have an old brooder, heat lamp, and chicken food - but am unfamiliar with how to best raise baby peacocks. I gave him a piece of spinack and he ate it. He will not drink water so far. Also - I saw yellow lice on him. I sprayed him with our normal mite flea spray - but wanted advice on:
1) How to rid of parasites/lice asap
2) what is best to feed them the first two weeks?
3?what kinda bowl is best for them this young to go to the water?
ANY OTHER ADVICE is greatly appreciated.
