Hello! I'm new to this site and looking forward to getting to know all you cool chicken people! My family and friends all start to look at me funny when I spend too much time talking about my chickens...they think I'm crazy. Except for my mother-in-law. She is a fellow chicken lover and we can talk about chickens for hours!
I currently have 12 chickens: A 3-year-old Barred Rock named Cosette, two 6-month-old bantams named Hennie and Bronwyn, and 9 chicks. Six are Cornish X, two are Black Stars named Juniper and Bella, and one is a Buff Orpington named Eponine. I love all of them. I've had chickens for four years now.
I have three children, and my youngest loves the chickens as much as I do! He is not even two, but he loves to watch the chicks and follow Cosette, Hennie and Bronwyn around the yard chanting, "Chickens! Chickens! Chickens!"

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sounds like you have a really fun flock!

Thanks everyone! I added to my flock today--seven 3-week-old Cochin chicks and a pair of mallards (named Jemimah and Leopold). So excited! I'm finding poultry to be addicting. :)
