Raising Chickens in Texas

Hello, we are new to raising chickens. We moved to a small town in South Texas in order to have the freedom to pursue such activities as growing a garden and raising chickens just to name a few. I am a combat veteran so for me the chickens are as much therapy as for the eggs. They are my girls and each and every one of them will live as part of the family free from worry.
