Hi
I love chickens their personalities are so different. It has been about 20 years since my last flock, and things have resolved to where I can have a flock of chickens again.
I have found some useful information from Back Yard Chickens, as well asThe Chicken Chick. An article on pasty butt was very helpful, and the stories on topics like dirt baths are fun to read. I joined because I see articles where people are recommending feeding oats to there birds. The Chicken Chick goes into detail as to how harmful oats are to a chickens digestive track. I feel very strongly that this topic needs to be discussed. Also I don’t scratch my chickens either because of lack of nutrients. I could be wrong and I’m sure someone will let me know. Anyway I’m doing my best to keep my birds cool, and proud to be a member of you club!
