Raising chickens newbie!

Hi, I'm new to this chicken raising deal...my husband wanted them...I have a fear of things that fly and my grandparents had MEAN chickens growing up...so I was going to have nothing to do with them...well, about 10 weeks ago I got 4 Rhode Island reds and 4 ISA browns...I love them!!! So much I have 12 more little peeps that we will be adding shortly to our big coop...

AH, I'm guessing you got chicks. They are so adorable and small they are a perfect introduction to folks who have fears about adults. This way you are with them as they grow up.

Chickens sure do have a knack at attaching themselves to our heart strings and they each have their own little chickenality.
