Raising chicks hen way or person way?

I have one old English game bantam hen that has been broody for two weeks now. I was wondering when the eggs hatch if i should raise them until they are 4 months old and put them in the flock. Or let my momma hen raise them. I don't know which is better or to keep the mom hen outside with the chicks in a round cage or keep the mom hen inside with the chicks or just raise the chicks by hand. I know if you raise them with the hen they learn quicker and don't get pasty butt and other desises. But i really want the chicks to grow up not afraid of people and I'm not sure if the mom hen will let me train them for that. Please help me, i really don't want to be unprepared when the chicks hatch.

I like to see a mama taking care of her chicks. I once took away some chicks that were several weeks old from a mama before she was ready to give them up (to put them in with some other juveniles) and the look on her face I just never want to see again in my life. She was so sad.
