raising chicks with others

How many do you have in that area? Some will tell you it's fine, others will tell you to separate the hen while she broods. If it's not crowded, you can probably keep her in there and just monitor to make sure the others aren't interfering.

I only have 3 hens and 1 rooster

Is one of your hens broody?
Lots of ways to manage a setting broody.
I like them separated by wire from the flock, it's just easier all around.
No having to mark eggs and remove any additions daily, no taking up a laying nest, no going back to the wrong nest after the daily constitutional.
The broody will protect the chicks.
