Hi everyone!

I have a two day old call duckling, Teddy. She is the only egg that was fertile and made it to hatching. I have another duckling, Pepper, who is five weeks old (currently living with her same age chick friends).

My plan is to raise Teddy solo until she is big enough to safely be with Pepper full time, in about three weeks.

Is this okay? I have a mirror and stuffed animal with her (and have classical music playing) in the brooder, and I visit with her frequently. I'm making sure I'll be home for these first few weeks so I can monitor her and spend time with her.
I also plan to start bringing her outside, starting today, to have supervised hang outs with Pepper so they can get to know each other.

But if this is not good for Teddy I can try and find another day old duckling to join. I want to make sure I do this right so she doesn't suffer any loneliness or depression.

Thanks all! Pics for tax :)
