Raising ducklings without a heat lamp

I raised my Spring Ducklings without a heat lamp, i wanted them to get used to a regular day/night cycle and built a Momma Heat Cave for them. It worked out great! They were never cold, slept in the night when it was dark and are healthy young ducks now.

I live in mo,we’re currently in spring and the highest it’s gotten is probably 80, and drops down usually into fifties or sixties, and on occasion into the fourties (46,47,48),the birds live in the house. Its four of them.
Ducklings can handle cold at earlier ages than chicks but you still need a source of warmth.
What climate are you in?

How old are they? - I kicked my ducklings out into a house outside at the age of four weeks in March, but they had an infrared lamp and a heat pad. I lost a two month old duck last year in August (!) during a "cold snap" down into the low 50's.
