Raising Ducks + Chicks

Hey everyone!
I was wondering how successful y'all are with raising ducklings and chicks together? My first flock grew up together, but I'm wondering about this batch. I hatched 2 ducklings, 8 days old and then bought three chicks, 5 days old. I want them to grow up together so that my first flock won't kill this batch when I add them together. Thank you! Any suggestions on adding them later and/or raising them together is helpful!

do you walk around with you babies outside as in they follow you ? like in the completly safe way that they are literally on your heels.

my point of this is to let your other ducks see that you have new babies and if they were raised by you and see that your are raising another batch they should be a bit more acceptant to the new arrivals ight still be hard on them but shouldnt try to kill them
