Raising Guinea Fowl 101

Pics
Is anyone selling fertile eggs I need about 12 I live in southern Wisconsin? Any color will do? I've been dieing to get some guinea fowl and now I have a broody hen so why not? Thanks

Is there anyway you could get them sooner because shes been sitting on golf balls for about 2 weeks now. I just don't want her to get to thin like most of my broodys do.

I have some I can send you tomorrow, but the flock is being tested today - so all results should be in except the avian flu- which takes about a week. THis has been a closed flock for many years and I see no problems, but the final test results will not be as fast as you like. THe major results are immediate. If you wish, I can sell you a dozen with this understanding, or we can wait the week. My girls are just starting so they are not as established as this other flock and are slowing getting started.
It would be $10.00 plus shipping (which is about $12.50 second day); a bit of a discount due to the incomple test status...
Let me know.

Will that offer still stand in about a week? Because once one of my hens go broody about 3 others will too and why waste a broody? Lol, if not thanks for the offer I already got some from mommaguinea :)

Just get box and all info and pay shipping you bet. I live in south TX would love to see my bird's. Up north

Just in case you didn't know, most people ship hatching eggs in Priority Mail flat rate boxes which the post office will provide to you for free. Also if you fill out the information on line, pay and print out the mailing label at:

https://www.usps.com/ship/ship-a-package.htm

It will cost less to ship the package than if you take it into the post office to get everything done. Of course you would have to add in the extra cost of the bubble wrap and other packing materials. The people who are really studying shipping hatching eggs claim that it is best to pack the eggs in a small box and to pack that box inside a larger box to minimize vibrations hurting the eggs.
