Vitamins and electrolytes for sure! Good luck, hope the lil fella makes it. you might also try finely chopped egg for the baby, tap the beak gently and offer from your fingertip.

Unfortunately the little cutie didn't make it.

But we had another one hatch yesterday and he/she looks completely healthy. Up and about and eating/drinking just fine. Super cute little thing and such bright orange shanks and feet and beak. Have a few more eggs in the bator, waiting to see if they will hatch also...

We have two silkie hens sitting on a big clutch of eggs outside, too. The eggs are Silkie eggs and guinea eggs. So maybe we'll get some more keets to hatch. I'll keep you all posted as to the results!

I would, look it over closely to see what the injury is. A broken foot puts it at risk to predators.

ive put it in a small dog kenal and brought it in side im looking at it closely
it cant even walk it has to use its wings

once they are off heat... Believe me they can hold their own. I put mine out in a brooder cage so every one can peck an eye at each other through but not beat each other up. But remember Keets can fly up about six feet by now... So a coop secure for chicks will not necessarily be secure for Keets.

Eight week old keets are capable of eating layer crumbles but it is not the best thing to feed them. At that age they will do better on a higher protein diet such as turkey game bird grower or meat bird grower.

They are probably ready and willing to be outdoors with your climate and temps..

I would not, agree 100% with the other posters. Layer crumble is for chickens, Guinea keets need higher protein and less calcium than the layer feed provides.I keep mine on game bird feed, or at least 24% chick starter until they are fully feathered, at least 4 months old. From there if they are not free ranging I give them 20% or more all flock and offer mealworms to boost protein intake..
