Can anyone tell me if this is a male or female? Or anything else about it (I have figured out its a white guinea) It just showed up outside our chicken coop today and seems to have made itself at home.

Only way to tell is by listeneing to them. If its pretty quiet does some buzzing and squeeky gate noises and some alarm noises... most likely a boy. If it also does a noise that sounds like Buck Wheat.... over and over and over and over again.... Its a female.
Thanks for the information everyone. From the description and the video, I'm pretty sure it's a boy. We've just recently stopped free ranging our chickens because of a predator, and I've noticed an increase in our bug population. Hopefully, this guy will hang around and help with that.

It just takes time they will never be relaxed or tamed but they will start to calm down a little more just give it time'When you figure this out let me know too. Guineas live to be stressed. They are the drama queen gangsters of the bird world...not to mention secret society assassins..

they calm down with age.... The first year is the worst. Each year after that better and better. But then I thing the first year weeds out the reprobates because something gets em....
