Yep. @TJChickens eggs. Looking good so far. Got 10 veining, one of those w rolling air cell. 4 maybes and 1 looks clear. Still 10/15 ain't a bad start for week 1 shipped eggs

Don't throw them away, I never try to candle Guinea eggs until 14 days they are just too hard to see into and be sure.

I can see in them very well right from the start, but I use an 850 lumen headlamp. I might have to buy some of those eggs in the spring I can get some purples back in my flock.

Guineas don't lay year round, and it is starting to get cold for people to get started with guineas, as well, which is why most place stop selling them. I breed and sell and try to stop by the end of August. Most likely you will have to find someone local or buy hatching eggs and hatch them yourself. There are some still being sold on ebay I think; I bought some a few months ago to add variety to my flock.

Yes they are. I know of someone in the guinea fowl facebook group that just got a bunch from them. They are a bit more expensive than some other places but do have a good selection and of course your options are limited this time of year.

ETA: I just looked and their last hatch of the year is 10/4.

Ralph Winter's Guinea Farm is the largest producer of Guinea Fowl in the United States. Many sites such as Stromberg's actually sell keets from the Guinea Farm.

I had to wait 2 months and then I finally got them but all but one died. NEVER ORDER FROM CACKLE!!!

I sold the rest of mine yesterday, so I am down to next years breeding stock. I am a happy soul now.

Well done! How many do you keep for breeding? 25ish?
