Raising Meat birds.

Has anybody ever raised meat birds?
What are the best kind. We don't really 'broil' chickens so is there any kind specifically for Roasting?

Is there anything you specifically need to do to the meat birds that you don't do to the egg birds (Other than feed).
What have your experiences been like?
