Corralitos
So I currently have 3 silkies and 2 EE in my brooder. I got all of the chicks on the same day when they were just a couple days old and have had them for about a week now. So far I haven't encountered any problems raising them together but the 2 EE's are a decent amount larger and faster than the silkies. They don't have to compete for water or food so I am assuming this is ok as well. Is there anything I should be looking for or worried about? I have never raised bantams with larger breeds before.

I raised 1 silkie with 5 standards without any problems. Although she does seem to be at the bottom of the order, they've got things worked out. I do want to add another silkie so she has a snuggle buddy at bedtime. ( She usually sleeps in a nest box instead of roosting with the others, but tends to go back and forth. )

Are you prepared for your silkies to go broody? Mine did, and without a rooster,I let her adopt some babies. She's a good mamma. Silkies are verrrrrrry broody.

I have 3 silkies (including a roo) with 10 standards (also including a roo). They were raised together as chicks and have never had a problem. The standard roo, a BLRW, and the Silkie roo get along great as well. They each have different tastes in their ladies, lol!

I have 2 silkies and 8 standards and they all get along fine. I just feel bad when they get mounted by my huge Silver Laced Wyandotte Roo. But they don't seem to mind LOL! They were all raised together since a day old.

Good Luck!

Great, sounds like I am good to go then
