i lost my flock to a dog friday night , so i am going to get some more chicks for my laying flock and i was thinking about geting a couple of bantys, will they be fine sharing the same coop?

Hey there! I've got 40 of mixed bantams and "full" sized 8 week old pullets and have had NO problems..in fact the bantams really didnt get picked on...it was the bigger birds!!!....I dont think you'll have any trouble at all! Just get a bottle of Blue Kote and keep it on hand to spray on the areas that get pecked on for ANY bird (if it occurs)....with so many - I did have that with a few, but I really think it was because my coop took so long to get built and I needed to get them out of the brooder sooner. Good luck!!! (also with plenty of room....you shouldnt have any problems either....throw in a big dirt clod grass and all to keep them busy until they are big enough to go outside) -

BTW I've got RIR, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Silver Laced Wyandotts, Black Sex Links, Cornish Cross, Orpington, Americauna (EE), my bantams are Mille Fleur d'Uccles (I dont think I forgot anybody!
