Got a local farm that wants me to grow out 500 baby chicks. He furnishes baby chicks and feed. How much should I charge per chick. Delivers in September and picks up in February. What would be a required setup to venture into this. I currently have 5 each 10’ x 20 foot moveable pens with a 4’x8 ‘ Ohio Brooder in each pen. Thinking I might need 5 more pens.

Thinking I might need 5 more pens.
At least...might depend on how crowded you want them.
What breeds?
Would love to see your pens...got pics?

As far as I know, not many here raise birds like this @ronaldo ...
....so experience with pricing may be hard to come by.
They didn't tell you what they'd pay?
What about lost birds?
Is the farm an egg producing concern?

Also curious....
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, (laptop version shown), then it's always there!

Prices will vary from one area to the next, but if this helps as a starting point, I paid 17 dollars each for my eight week old easter egger pullets 3 years ago. Knowing what I know now, I think that was a bargain. Of course, that was direct from breeder to consumer, they may want to pay you less, so they can make a profit too.

They want a price from me
No liability for lost birds.
I guess you'll have to estimate what it'll cost you to raise them up to POL.
Then add some profit. Start high.
Well, liability is that you won't get paid for them, correct?
Or are they paying you up front?
