I am raising 6 Bourbon Red Turkeys, coming in about a week. I have raised meat chickens in the past, but I have some questions.
1. Should I feed them medicated feed for the first few weeks?
2. If I let them pasture, will they take off and explore or stick around my yard. it is a clearing with a big pond. Next to the clearing is a small section of woods, that goes into my neighbors yard.
3. I have a 6ft fence to keep them in. Can they fly over that with clipped wings?
4. If I sell them, should I pay to get them butchered or sell them live? How do I even find a butcher for only 6 birds?
