Hi Guys! So I put this down as Ostriches and Emu but this is about goats(sorry I'm still new to this I didn't know where to put it) I am thinking about getting goats but people are saying to get wether, which is what I think I want, but I have no idea if I can keep them together or if I can just have wether and no does? (Not really looking for milk, and they are said to have a better temperment) Could anyone help me out? Thanks so much! I appreciate it!

People get wethers to be companions to does sometimes or if they only want brush cutters. Bucks are smelly a d that can lead to funny tastin milk. But a wether isnt smelly and you dont have to worry over them bredin everything in the pen. Yes it is just fine to keep only wethers also. The wether most likely have a beter temperment cause no beans equals none of the dumb boy hoarmones to make em act all randy and dumb lol!

You can have a herd of does or a herd of wethers or a herd with both. It's all perfectly fine. Does have to have babies in order to produce milk, so if they aren't bred, you won't have milk. Wethers are castrated males and won't have the hormonal behaviour issues that an intact male can.
