We lucked out today after a week of searching, and found Blaze our Blue Silkie Rooster a new home. He will be living with a lady who runs a Petting Zoo for parties and the Texas Scarborough Festival. Take a good guess where we will be going this April to May. We are going to miss Blaze he was so loveable, but he wouldn't stop harassing mom's female Sultan. When my new chicken friend's Mille Fleur d'Uccle start laying she is going to give us a hen as a friend for our Japanese Bantam, Goldie will be so happy.
And on top of that a my new chicken friend is going to trade Cinnabar my Ginger Red/Buff Silkie for a Silkie hen. Wish I had met her back in Oct when we got our Silkies I would have just gotten mine from her. She raises quite a few different types of chickens and birds. What's so great is she lives not to far from us.
Now all's we need is for Sunshine and Melody to mate so we can start raising little Sultans. Wonder if a Sultan roo would mate with a Japanese Bantam hen!
Well just wanted to run on, but now I have to go put my LF hens in their coop for the evening.

Laters,

Well it's been 5 days since Blaze went to it's new home, and we miss him. Even tho he harassed Melody she even acted like she missed for the 1st 2 days.
Cinnabar has been at his new home for 4 days also and I miss him worse than Blaze. He was my chick that I had nursed back from Wry Neck, and we had gotten close.

I'm hoping to get a bantam hen of some kind, to refill the emptiness of having to give away Cinnabar. I wanted a silkie hen, but I don't wish to have to nurse another silkie, they are way to delicate.
Look at me I'm babbling...
