Not the original question but other thing to consider is how difficult will it be for you/your family to get in and out of the coop for maintenance, cleaning, etc.?

It’s technically a treehouse that we’re converting but we have a wide deck around it and it’s pretty big on the inside (size of a storage building). We will have to walk up the deck stairs but I do that about a 100x a day with the toddler anyway lol
