Ran out of duckling feed. What can I temporarily give them as a substitute?

I just gave my ducklings the remainder of their feed tonight. It should last them until about midday tomorrow, but the problem is I can't get anymore until 2 or 3 days from now. What can I give them to tide them over until I can get more feed?

I'd probably make the food that remains stretch out as long as I can. Feed them a smaller amount of their regular food and supplement with some kitchen scraps. Shells from boiled eggs and veggie scraps, frozen veggies, maybe some oats... Extra free range time would help so they can forage. Maybe even go turn some stones/bricks/logs and release extra bugs for them

You can make an emergency ration. Holderread's Book describes it. I think it's baking ingredients of some sort mixed together. Do you want me to find it for you?
