Assorted bantams. Any guesses as to what they are? Breed/gender??

This little black one is the smallest. It appears to have a single comb. Feather footed. Four toes. No beard or muffs.

This little white one appears to have either a single or pea comb. Not certain yet. Its comb is so tiny. Four toes.

This is a silkie--no doubt--black skin, five toes, three-part beard. I've never had silkies before. Is it a sizzle or a plain silkie? Also, the "bantam" silkies I got are much larger (and not much older according to feather count) than the other 2 mystery chicks. Are they notoriously big bantams or did I get regular sized silkies mislabeled as bantams? What do you think??

Silkies only come in 'Bantam Size' but some are bigger than most Bantam breeds. I hope that helps!

The dark one on top, I think is a Birchen Cochin.. But it might also be a Black Cochin with minimal white fuzz.

I never even thought of birchen variety. Thank you!!

Thanks. It helps.

Yup no problem ;) we all gotta start somewhere right?

And I've always wanted to get bigger silkies and try to breed them up to large fowl size...hopefully that will be a project I can start soon :)
