RANDOM FACTOIDS - Did you know that?....

So did you just research these, or do you know any facts on them? Cause I was curious about a few

This one 'More people in China speak English, than in America'...does this refer to chinese people in America, or just people in general?

--When your face blushes, the lining of your stomach does, too

How on earth would someone even KNOW that??

---Cattle are the only mammals that urinate backwards.

What exactly do they mean by 'backwards'?

There are others, but I'll leave it alone for now

I enjoyed reading those. Won't go so far as to say that I believe all of them, but enjoyed nonetheless. Call me skeptical, but so much of the internet-generated trivia is untrue...one of the best examples (and most fitting here) being the one about how (supposedly) "a duck's quack does not echo. No one knows why."

Also the tidbit about the supposed background of the phrase "rule of thumb." (that back years ago it was illegal for a man to beat his wife with a stick thicker than his thumb.)

ETA: Don't mean to be a party pooper ... they are fun to read.

I was just writing this stuff down as it came off the "6500 Facts You Dont Need to Know" app on the iPod.
I'm willing to accept that the iPod folks did the research.

C'mon you guys - this is supposed to be fun

I mean, camels milk doesn't curdle and cockroaches wont eat cucumbers- whod've guessed?
There has to be something useful that can come of that knowledge...
