random fly-bee... beetle looking thing following me and my chickens?!

I don't know what in the world it is.... But it looks like a black bee.... But all I ever see it do is hover over the chicken coop. It just hovers and watches me and the chickens when we're in the grass lol.... And when we move it follows us but it never attacks?? It just watches.....

I really have no idea, but could it be a Carpenter Bee? Notice any nice perfect round holes in wood of your coop or home?
I do have a few of those and they just hover around, sometimes follow you, but they will drill holes in your wood structures, so ime, it's best to get rid of them.

Could be soldier flies or else what i call watcher bees.

There are YouTube videos on how to use soldier flies to make larva that my chickens and ducks greatly prefer to mealworms.
