Figured I'd toss up a few random photos of some of my birds. They're a couple months old now. We got them when they were 2 weeks old. I've taken photos every week since.
Here's a photo from this yesterday.

This is photo where I'm just having a bit of fun One of our birds reminds me of the 8th president of the USA Martin Van Buren
(For Clarity, Martin is the one wearing the black suit coat.)

This one is my bird. Her name is Marie, as in Marie Laveau.

Any hoodle that's all I got right now.

Oh, I remember talking to my chickens when I was that young. You very first photo (black and white) is a good example of how the chicken eye works. Guess which eye is focused on the camera? And guess which eye is watching for danger? Very interesting that the tiny chicken brain can process and sort visual data.

I admit to being new to chickens so I'll take a guess, eye that on the left in the photo is looking at me and the other is looking for danger? Tell me more about this though, cause I haven't heard about this. I have noticed they way they will turn their heads to look at things moving. It's like their best vision is to the side 90 degrees from the front.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.........learn more every day. Didnt know that.

The chicken's right eye is focused on the camera while the left eye is already scanning what's going on above your head. Another interesting note is how the left eye appears more round as the muscles of the eye change focus. The right eye is tightly focused and firmly in the eye socket.

Supposedly the mighty chicken brain has the ability to interpret data from each eye. He/she can see two different pictures and make sense of it. They have the ability to interpret what's on the ground and what is in the sky at the same time.

Very Fascinating. Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate this extra bit of knowledge.
