Next year I'll see, but silkies are on my WANT list. I have some cute little Mille Fleurs myself - so if you want to add some different blood - let me know!

Oh I'll definitely let you know- I have a trio right now and they are awesome. We were going to get rid of them because they have no practicality but they are way too cool for that. I have some silkie eggs from Perfectly Polish and PurpleChicken in the bator right now so hopefully by spring I will have some more going. Maybe we can swap in the spring.

The Mille Fleur's make really good broody's - your's are probably a bit on the young side, mine are a little over a year old and really good moms. My kids love the little eggs!

Ginja gets the eggs as well - one of my Hens has been laying her daily egg up on a shelf - 9 times out of 10 it falls - 50% of the time it cracks.

We call ginja, and give her the cracked egg, she takes it like she's carrying a baby kitten or something, goes to find a good spot and eats it! (Without messing)

I have always loved the mille color. My DH was so aggravated with me one day when I sold a pair we had. I didn't know they were his favorites cause he never told me. They were the only ones we ever had. Your silkies look like they are nonbearded. You have a really diverse flock. Thanks for sharing . I love to see everyones flock.

I completely forgot to take pics of the cuckoo marans. I'll have to get some one of these days. I like having lots of cool looking birds to watch. Next year I should be able to free range several groups of them separately so the ones locked up in the coop can get out more.
