Champ - Speckled Old English Bantam
We think that he is about a year old.

Leslie - Light Brahma.
We think that he is about 5 months old.

Leslie and his potential girlfriend, the 1-3 year old Delaware sport.
She still needs a name. Besides the age difference, I thought this would be a cute pairing.

Clover the Broad Breasted White

Crimson the Broad Breasted White

Crimson again.

Clover again.

My 1-3 year old Ameraucana that needs a name.

My blue/black Muscovy drake that needs a name.

The whole bunch. All needing names.

Not poultry, but Mike and Winnie. The poultry protectors.

Mike smiling.

Awwwww, to them all!

I want turkeys too! My hubby said a big fat NO! I'll get one someday!

thanks for sharing.

Cool flock
Thanks! This was just a few pictures of a few birds. We have several more, but none were being especially cute that day.

These were just the two market turkeys, but the other seven breeding turkeys are just as crazy in their own ways. I suggest doing it like I did it with all of my other birds. We got the young Brahma rooster as a "mini Royal Palm". Then we added more turkeys. After all of them got settled in, a man was getting rid of his Muscovies (AKA: Water Turkeys) and thinning out his chicken population (one girl Brahma then the rest are going to become turkey incubators). For you, you should be able to get baby poults and when they seemingly grow larger than the chickens, it was obviously the supplier's fault for doing the old switch-a-roo on you. Or find a reason for having to have turkeys like I did. No other poultry is like a turkey. I recommend getting one if you have never had one before though!

What everyone doesn't see in the picture is how mischievous turkeys are. This one literally stole the camera from my hands. As you see in this picture, it grabs it by the hand loop and takes off with it.

Them plotting something odd.

Now acting like nothing ever happened.

thanks for the info! I heard they are pretty quiet and very easy to raise. My hubby grew up with a turkey in upstate N.Y. and he told me that she was mean. I told him it was because he and his siblings pestered her to death, lol! I also think they are so cute too. Down here we have wild Muscovy Ducks, I love those too. They say they are an invasive species, but they were here before we were! Go figure!
