I don't live super close to them (sadly) but I like to shoot them for sure

We don't see them a lot down on the desert (lots of mule deer) but up on the rim they're thick. Herds hundreds deep, to the point where they're a hazard on the highways. Usually 3 or 4 reports a month of elk/car altercations up there.

No I didn't! He was a beautiful sight to see. I would see him everytime we went down the mountain, but haven't seen him for a while. I really wanted to photograph him!
