Oh, I hope he gets better!

My old hens are starting to not be themselves. One's stopped laying, the other lays wrinkly white eggs from time to time and they slowed down a lot, don't move around as much as they used to. but at least it stops them pecking the little pullets!

yeah older hens can be mean.the little guy is better and he is starting to like me cause there isnt with the other chicks he will go outside tommorow cause we got a 250 watt light bulb so it is nice and warm it got down to 8 last night glad wwe got that lamp fast

We got our pullets as chicks in the middle of winter - terrified that they would freeze at night, so my mum popped down to the hardware store and picked up a workshop-light and we hung it on a tennis raquet balanced over their home

yeah, when the pullets were about five weeks old, we shifted them outside to the coop with the old grumpy hens.
 
thats great they mix so well if i put 5 week olds with my hens and roos they would problably be killed
