I have sold some hatching eggs because people asked me too and a few on ebay. Maybe 6 or 8 shipments last year and about 8 this year . shipped birds a couple times.. So one auction on ebay went over 100$ . I was stunned and knew I had to be extra careful to 'please' someone who spent that much. (I NEVER would spend that much). So I actually sent 8 extra eggs on a 6 egg sale (14) , wrapped in bubble wrap each, also filled box with bubble wrap and shavings . I stated in ad. "no refunds, I can't control what PO does or how you hatch", it is very risky to ship eggs. I even gave info on hatching in add and they are a bit tricky to hatch. 1)first complaint, fuzzy pic of 'some had hairline cracks'. I said they are insured , make a claim with PO , but you will have to take everything to them. Or suggested they tape or wax cracks. No, that was too much trouble Didn't want the hassale they said to do that. So I felt bad and offered to send more, (probably my first mistake). I ended up senting them over 25 eggs...in 2 more shipments, even double boxing, all marked fragile, eggs, etc. Started making accusations after some (1/4) didn't develop, blaming me, or making false accusations against the stock or my practices.(came from 5 different breeding groups). Even said they thought they were not the same color. egg (sale had nothing to do with egg color or even color of birds hatched as it varies)..Made claim to ebay.. i refuted, they ruled in my favor, because she didn't 'return item in time'(that sounded strange , but ok). That DAY! she filed with PP. and lied about the amount of eggs, saying and not fertile,(after 3 boxes, I checked fertility before I shipped, and they were insured by PO), accused me of scamming. PP said buyer had to 'refund'....what!? so I called PP and explained to a human what is going on, and I had conversations on ebay I could send and 2/3 of the tracking receipts (may have lost one). They do have something about 'buyer abuse'. Since there was a tracking # and it was a "consumable item" , that if I got it or when it shows I got it,I could refute it and make a claim against the buyer..Told them there was no way you can return eggs they have had a month, that they were either sending grocery store ones or and empty box..although , it could be something even nastier...kind of scared to open box. I think it was all about 'buyers remorse' , maybe they got into a bidding frenzy like gambling ? spent too much and expected perfection. I did block them on ebay, as they started making unfounded accusations, after 6 or more emails me explaining lots of info about the breed, and trying to help and they accused me of scamming. I said I had tried to help them more than generously, and as far as I knew they could have dropped them, resold them or incubator was off and I had stated it was not my fault what happened to them after they left here. (I think I made a big mistake , saying I would work with people in my ad, if they arrived messed up, because I really did want them to get the birds...I would, I know how it feels to get eggs and end up with nothing..I got some shipped eggs this year, just to try it out, and got half of one hatch and 1 of 6 and 2 or 6...some were my fault as something reset the incubator thermostat for a day , and we had a power outage for half a day...... Now I know some people are very perfectionistic, I am not, but I can be when I need to, and when it comes to selling eggs, I researched the best way to pack them , and considering the eggs I received I do a A+ job..( a couple I received were just in an egg carton taped shut with minimal cushinging. Only one was packed as well as I pack mine. I also am careful that they can get air, and nothing is sealed totally in plastic. ...Honestly, their feedback score was good, I guess it was just buyers remorse and they are a 'business ' person, and know how to 'play the game'... They can't possibly think if I was a scammer , I'd sent 3 well packed boxes (2 extra ones , I didn't even ask for shipping costs or anything), sending them over 4X the amount of eggs they purchased, and give them all kinds of info on the birds and hatching etc.... if I sell eggs again, I don't think I will take PP or anything people can play these games with. I was just selling some because it is a way to get rare breeds or lines, that is why I buy some myself. Just though I could offset some feed costs, not planning on becoming a 'hatchery business'...and the headaches this has caused dealing with this person has caused it is not worth it....how do others handle a difficult or lying buyer, or buyers remorse attempts?

That's ridiculous! People can be so selfish and rude at times. I sell stuff on eBay too. A lot of People never try to put themselves in the sellers shoes. Sometimes people will just leave bad reviews without even trying to work with the seller. It's very frustrating
