Ranting: Giving away my eggs....

I had 4 dozen eggs (standard and bantam mix) in the fridge. My live-in wanted to take some to a guy he works with. I said sure, figuring he'd just take a dozen, and told him he might want to trade out the bantam eggs for standard ones.

Well...I opened the fridge this morning after he left and he ended up taking two dozen!!!

It's getting colder and my girls aren't going to be laying as much (if at all), and I hate buying eggs. He and I both eat at least a dozen a week (we fry them on the weekend and save them as a quick breakfast in the mornings we go to work).

So frustrating...

If you only wanted him to take one dozen, you have to tell him that.

You have to be very specific with men.

Yup, I agree that you have to be very specific, but not with just men, with anyone!

The girls will lay more goodies for you and all will be well. It will just take some time.

This evening I'll be able to "disscuss" the situation with him and come to a better understanding.

Best to tell men things again and again until they at least make some coment about it. Else, doesn't matter how much you talk. Most have already learned to tune you out. Right Royicus?

In case you all are wondering, silkiechicken and I were on the phone, and I was also in BYC chat. Well, it turns out she told me something twice during that phone call, but I never remember her telling me...
