Very good point about the responsibility issue Mary. I tend to forget about that one. But yeah, my problem is not with rehoming, it is with the initial purchase and the lack of thought that lead to such a lightening quick rehome.

Yes totally agree about this. Makes you wonder if they thought about it at all, before getting it.

a lot of the time, no there is no forethought. Like the dogs at wal-mart I mentioned, a lot of them were just "oh look puppies" and they took one home.
People put more thought into a pair of tennis shoes than they do purchasing a pet....
