Hello, new chick owner here. I was wondering if anyone had an idea to what is happening to a Barred Rock chick that I have. I recently picked up 6 chicks from Coastal Farm and Ranch and all but one seem to be doing fine. They are 2-3 weeks old currently. The one in particular has very rapid breathing, not all the time, but more often than not. It seems to be eating and drinking, and keeping up in growth with the others. It is a bit more relaxed than the others, but not what I would call lethargic. They are all eating medicated feed. I have made sure the temperature is fine, it shouldn't be overheated at all.

I'm not sure if it should be quarantined, medicated, culled, or its fine for all I know?

Any ideas or help are appreciated!

Yes, I have the lamp angled so one side of the brooder is warmer and one side is colder. This one chick can be with all the others and is the only one that is breathing like this. Currently the hot side is about 86*. Thanks

You might take a look st it. Is there anything in it's beak? Chicks eat everything and can get stuff like hair or sring stuck in their little throats.

What's its poop like?

I couldn't find anything in its beak/throat. Its kind of weird, whenever I held it, it was breathing normal and not rapid. I'm not sure about its poop, but I'll isolate it tomorrow and update with any new info. Thanks I appreciate it.
