Rapped drop in temperature
So I keep reading one reason you don’t put a heater into a coop is if the power goes out the chickens will NOT be used the cold and can kill them.
The reason for the post: I live in Las Vegas Nevada (well suburb Henderson) for the last few weeks we are still in the high 70’s and our lows are in according to my back yard thermometer 6am was 71 this morning and last night at 7pm we were still 78 this has been the temperature for pretty much all of November and start of December. Now the News is saying Monday night we are going to drop drastically to 30 the day time high Monday still in high 70’s but the low in going to be 30 and then we are starting are cold spell.
My question: with such a rapped drop literally over night and my chickens used to the warm weather are they in danger of dying because they are not used to it. Should I bring them inside Monday night and put them in there corner?
