Rare breed chickens Alberta-where to find them?

We are going to move to an acreage that we just bought in about 2 months and would like to have a few pet/egg chickens.

Our family is located in northern Alberta. Where we find chicken breeders? I actually prefer if they were adult hens instead of chicks but either would be fine. The breeds that intrest us would be:

-Silkies
-Easter Eggers
-Wyandottes
-Favorelles
-Appenzeller Spitzhauben
-Sizzle
-Frizzle
-Cochin
-Polish
-Plymouth Rock

Also, do you think any of those breeds would be good for first time chicken owners?

Have you tried posting on the Canada thread in the "Where am I? Where are you!" section of the forum. There are a number of chicken breeders in AB (some on BYC, some not) so you should be able to find some of the breeds you are looking for without too much difficulty. Others, such as the Appenzeller Spitzhauben, will be tougher.
